Vent Session - Soup Slurping

Okay, is it really necessary to put all your force into breathing in when you are eating soup or drinking tea? Seriously. I could put a vacuum in a bowl of water and it would make about the same amount of noise as a certain someone I know makes eating soup. I can barely stand being in the room right now. If I had any clean laundry I would get dressed and run away to a place where slurping is against the highest form of law and the repercussions are none other than "No soup for you" soup Nazi Seinfeld style. I can't wait until my laundry is done, or the slurping stops. Whatever comes first.

Vent session complete.

  1. Oh man, Thanksgiving was the worst. My in-laws invited over their obnoxious acquaintances down the street, who all likelihood probably invited themselves over in the first place, and the whole family of five was slurping their soup and their drinks louder than anything I've ever heard. (And did I mention the texting during dinner?! Can't you put the flippin' phone away for an hour?!)

I know it's culturally acceptable to slurp in some parts of the world, that it's a sign of enjoying the meal, but not here for crying out loud! Can't stand it. Worse than nails on a chalk-board.

  2. Ahh! So sorry I just saw this comment now. I sympathize! Oh and texting during dinner (or any social gathering) is the WORST. I always say to people, "who are you texting? All of your friends are all ready here."
